Hervey Bay

Hervey Bay
We surprised Grandma and Grandpa and arrived into Hervey Bay on Sunday instead of Monday.  Gran and Pop were also meant to meet us in Hervey Bay, but Pop hurt his back.

Mum, Jacob & Zachary

Sleep over
We had a sleep over in Grandma and Grandpa's caravan.

Mum & Dad
Mum and Dad had the day to themselves then went out for dinner and then watched a movie.

We all washed down the caravan

Our 4WD needed a clutch start
Car troubles on our very last day of holidays.  Lucky Grandpa was there to give us a hand and Zachary and I are giving good directions.

Rockhampton

Play time
We visited Mum's best friend from school who lives just east from Rockhampton, called Zilzie.

Green slime
Jarrod made green slime at school, so we all pretended it was green snot.
Mum said, oh YUCK!

Thumbs up
Whilst packing up, Jacob was helping Dad to check that the table was secure on the roof of the 4WD.

You were able to move the skeleton of the dinosaur in all different directions.

Banjo Patterson is famous for writing the lyrics, "Waltzing Matilda".

Dinosaur prints
The Waltzing Matilda Centre also has a museum with dinosaur prints.

Whip cracking
I learnt how to crack a whip.

Musical Fence
There was a really cool park called the Musical Fence.  It had a guitar fence, and I'm sitting at a drum kit.  The park had other things that you could hit and make music.  Lots of noise and loads of FUN!

Corfield and Fizmaurice Building
This building was located in Winton's town centre and showed a model replica of the dinosaur stampede that we saw out at Lark Quarry.

Dinosaur Stampede
There was approximately 200 dinosaurs at the Lark Quarry having a drink when a meat-eating dinosaur, theropod, saw the other dinosaurs and stalked them.  The meat-eater turned and charged, causing a chaotic mass of footprints in the mud as they ran to escape.

Winton's cool bins
The streets of Winton are lined with these really cool dinosaur foot bins.
