Kalgoorlie

Kalgoorlie
After a quick stop over in Norseman, we headed for Kalgoorlie.  After arriving and setting up camp,  Dad and Mum promised me a night viewing of the SuperPit.  In the morning we returned in daylight and I'm standing in front of a big excavator bucket.  This bucket can hold 60 tonne in one scoop or about 60 small cars.

SuperPit
This SuperPit is the biggest open cut gold mine in Australia.  It's about 500 meters deep.

Dump Truck Tray
My family and I are standing in front of a Dump Truck Tray, which can hold 220 tonnes or four bucket scoops.
